TRADITIONAL ARTISANS
Only one craft per booth for demonstration and/or selling will be allowed unless prior approval has been given by the Heritage Days Committee. To uphold the legitimate standards of Heritage Days, those not willing to demonstrate wares or share history may be denied approval at board's discretion.
Traditional artisans demonstrate a craft of 17001840 and produce a finished product. Their role is primarily educational but they may sell their products.
FEE FOR TRADITIONAL ARTISANS WHO SELL IS 5% OF GROSS SALES TO BE PAID ON SUNDAY AFTER CLOSING BY 5:30 P.M.
FOOD PURVEYOR
Each food booth will be allowed to sell only what has been approved by the Heritage Days Committee. To uphold the legitimate standards of Heritage Days, those not willing to demonstrate wares or share history may be denied approval at board's discretion. Only foods/drinks authenticated to the period are to be sold.
All food booths must display a Madison County Health Department permit during the event. The “Temporary Food Service Application” form can be downloaded from: http://www.madisoncountyhealth department.org/environmental.html or by calling 618-296-6079. Heritage Days and all Heritage Days participants are required to follow Madison County Health guidelines, also posted on the MCHD Web site. This must be done in advance.
FEE FOR ALL FOOD BOOTHS IS 10% OF GROSS SALES TO BE PAID ON SUNDAY AFTER CLOSING BY 5:30 P.M.
All applications will be juried in order to maintain the quality of Heritage Days. Applicants who have not participated at Heritage Days within the last two years or who have changed the nature of what they are selling must submit three or four color slides or photos of items to be sold. Send SASE for return.

BOOTH TRADERS
Booth traders sell products from the time period 17001840. Trade items suitable are hand-crafted items using natural material (wood, stone, metal, paper, leather, straw, clay, etc.) which would have been available in the time period of 17001840. The product style should be in keeping with the tone of the event; produce (cultivated) natural foods.
FEE FOR BOOTH TRADERS IS $50.00 TO BE SENT WITH YOUR APPLICATION. ALSO INCLUDE LIST OF ITEMS TO BE SOLD. IF AN ITEM IS NOT LISTED, THE HERITAGE DAYS COMMITTEE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ASK PARTICIPANTS TO REMOVE THE INAPPROPRIATE ITEMS.
BLANKET TRADERS
Single Blanket, Approximate Size 72" by 90"
$10 per blanket, payable at event after setup
Blanket traders sell period items from a blanket or skin spread on the ground. The items offered for sale will normally be handmade rather than mass produced and illustrative of items sold or bartered during the fur trade period of 17001840. The items need not be made by the trader. The blanket is spread on the ground in the open or in front of the trader's camp.
BASKET OR CART TRADERS
Costumed individuals carrying and selling from a basket or cart. Small items normally handmade, sold, bartered during 17001840.
FEE $10.00. PAYABLE WITH APPLICATION. BASKET AND CART TRADERS MUST BE PREREGISTERED.
Food booths and craftsmen may sell their wares from a basket or cart ONLY IF THEY HAVE PRIOR APPROVAL OF THE HERITAGE DAYS COMMITTEE. THERE IS A $5.00 ADDITIONAL FEE PER BASKET.
